Today I'm showing you my take on print mixing. Stripes and leopard is a popular combination. And, in this color palette of beige and black, it's subtle enough that even a person who is not comfortable with mixing patterns can get on board.
How do you feel about mixing prints? What are your favorite combos? Let me know in the comments below.
Good morning, loves! I hope you had a great weekend. Ours was a mix of productivity, relaxation and celebration, and we enjoyed every minute of it!
Truth be told, I have conflicting feelings about this time of year. On the one hand, I love it because it's full of parties/get-togethers, celebratory functions, and jolly ol' times with friends and family. But, on the other hand, (and partly due to those celebratory functions, etc...), I tend to eat too much, slack off on my usual workout routine, and then as a result, I don't feel so good, my clothes start fitting a little tighter, and I start feeling a little guilty for the overindulgence and lack of discipline. Please note: I'm Cuban and was raised Catholic. Discipline and guilt are kind of engraved in our culture. (Insert sympathetic sigh here)
Thankfully though, once the holidays are over, I do get back to my usual routine and lifestyle within a month, so... I guess I'll cut myself some slack and just enjoy this beautiful season and all that it has to offer to the fullest!
P.S - In the meantime, I have my comfy (and roomy) boyfriend jeans to take me through the eating season. #blessed, #lovemyboyfriendjeans
P.P.S- There are some fantastic sales going on at a few of my favorite stores today. Check them out!

I can not believe it's already December! Where has the year gone? It seems like not too long ago it was February and I was writing my first blog post!
Today I'm recapping my outfits from last month. I realize I only have 5 actual "outfit" posts for November and that's because I did a couple of different posts throughout the month such as "Ten Things You May Not Know About Me", A Tour Through Blogland, and the recaps of our trip to Madrid and Rome. If you want to check them out, just click on the post titles.
Wishing everyone a happy Hump Day. See you back here on Friday!
One of my favorite all time color combinations is gray and pink. I think what makes them work so well together is their opposing characteristics. Pink is a happy, girly, playful color, while gray is a little more serious, muted, and at times even somber.
In this outfit, the pale pink jacket, with its innate girly and sweet feel is a perfect contrast to the more manly and stern shades of gray of the scarf, jeans, and bag. Just like in other aspects of life, opposites do attract.
How do you feel about this color pairing? What are some of your favorite color combinations?
