I like to go through my closet every six months or so and get rid of items that I no longer wear. Be it clothing, shoes, or handbags, if I have not worn it or at least reached for it in a year, it's outta here! By getting rid of, I mean I give it to other people ( ie: my cousins ) or donate it. I can't stand having stuff just hanging there when there is someone else that can be using it and enjoying it. Plus, it makes room for new purchases! ;-)
That said, there are items that I have had for years and I still keep wearing to this day. These pants are a case in point. I bought them four years ago and wear them a handful of times a year. They have a classic silhouette with a slightly lower waist that is flattering and comfortable. A pair of pants like these, in my opinion, should be in every woman's closet. They can be dressed up or down and can go from the office to drinks to shopping on the weekends. I suspect I'll be keeping them for years to come.
