No, you're not seeing things. Yes, it is the middle of July. And, yes, I am wearing a scarf and a pair of jeans. I have professed my love for scarves in the past ( refer to this post here ), and I am currently dealing with a borderline unhealthy obsession with boyfriend jeans so this is, pretty much, the state of my current situation.

This gorgeous DVF scarf, was a birthday gift from my sweet friend, Audrey, and it could not be more perfect for summer. Made of a light and airy washed silk chiffon, it combines a lot of my favorite colors ( yellow, gray, and blue, among others ) and the most beautiful floral print , thereby officially rendering it one of my favorite scarves to date. And that, my lovelies, is saying a lot!

Remember a few years back when JLo wore a high ponytail, big sunglasses, gold hoops and a sexy top? Actually she still does but, anyway... When I saw myself in the mirror after putting on this outfit, I had to fight back the urge to bust out in a carefully choreographed hip hop number while leading all my hot backup dancers. Happy Monday, lovelies! I hope you had a fantastic holiday weekend. My husband and I had a great relaxing time with family and friends in the Keys. Long weekends are so soothing for the mind, body, and soul.

Now, on to the outfit. As much as I love color, sometimes I just feel like toning it down a few notches. There's something so chic, and dare I say sexy, about a men's inspired white button-down.  It looks relaxed but not sloppy. And pairing it with blue skinnies, snakeskin pumps, and a pretty ladylike bag in a neutral tone, lends a decidedly feminine touch to the whole look.

Happy 4th of July!

Just wanted to wish everyone a happy and safe 4th of July weekend! Whatever you're doing, whether it's a backyard BBQ, a picnic in the park, a block party, laying out on the beach or at the pool, I hope you get to relax and have a great time.

My husband and I are driving down to The Keys today to enjoy the holiday weekend with family and friends. There will be plenty of food, drink, fireworks, and fun. I will see you all back here on Monday since I won't be posting tomorrow.
