Pressing the Pause Button

Top: Ella Moss ( also looking at this one ), Jeans: AG Adriano Goldschmied ( also loving these and these ),
Shoes: Guess ( old, but similar here and on sale here! ), Bag: Chanel, Sunglasses: Prada, Necklace and Earrings: Fossil ( old, but totally swooning over this one here and this color here! ), Lipstick: Mac "Mac Red", Watch: Fossil

Every so often, about once or twice a year, I like to take a break from the internet and social media for a week or so. During that period, instead of being on FB, Insta, other blogs, etc..., I spend that time either reading a book (usually self-improvement or travel related), in prayer/meditation, going for a walk, or just simply being in silence enjoying the view from my apartment. In this day and age of information overload, we can get "bombarded" with things that, although they may not seem like it, can take away from us actually "living" and being in the moment.

Now, I don't mean to get all philosophical on you. I'm just saying that, sometimes, I need to take a break and disconnect. It's like pressing the pause button, so to speak. Every time I do this, the result is always positive. I come back thinking more clearly, feeling more connected, and with a fresher take on things!

So as my dear friend, Audrey, would say- to make a long story longer, I'm taking said break next week and will see you all back here on Monday, August 18th. I wish you all a fantastic weekend!

In the meantime, I leave you with a look I wore last Friday to go out for drinks and dinner with my hubby. :-)
